Alro’s Valuation Services is nationally registered with the “National Council of Jewellery Valuers”, (Registration numberQ0182), as a specialist valuer for Antique furniture, porcelain, glass, clocks and collectables.

I have owned and operated an Antique Business for 22 years from 1985 to February 2007.  I have received accreditation from the Jewellery Council of Australia which enables me to give you, my client, a valuation that has legal status which can be used as evidence of the value of your treasures for insurance purposes in the case of loss. I shall also be able to provide you with an idea of the value of items should you wish to include these in your will.

When valuing your assets for insurance purposes it is important that you list all separately with their specific values, otherwise the insurance will only pay a fraction of their true worth. Any items under $1000.00 need to be listed and itemized as these will be estimated as a portion of the whole household contents. For instance, if you have 4 Royal Doulton figurines all valued at about $400.00, each of these amounts to $1600.00. However, if not valued individually the insurance company will only pay out $1000.00 for all of them.
